Tasty Grandma’s Heavenly Chocolate Pie

Filling:

12 oz.package (2 cups) semi sweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons sugar
4 eggs
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar

Melt chocolate chips, milk, sugar in top of double boiler-remove from heat.

Beat in 4 egg yolks, one at a time.

Beat in large bowl or in food processor-until-stiff- 4 egg whites and cream of tartar.

Fold in chocolate mixture, gently, do not beat or stir.

Place in precooked pie shell and refrigerate.

Topping:

1/2 pint whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon confectioner’s sugar

Whip all ingredients until stiff- top chilled pie and refrigerate.
