Cinnamon-Spiced Bloomin’ Pears

Ingredients:

  • 4 large pears (Bosc or Anjou varieties work well)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds or hazelnuts (optional)
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wash and core the pears, leaving the bottom intact. Slice a small portion off the bottom if needed to create a stable base.
  3. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until well mixed.
  4. Place the cored pears in a baking dish.
  5. Spoon the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over each pear, ensuring it gets into the cored center.
  6. Optionally, sprinkle chopped nuts over the top of each pear.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the pears are tender.
  8. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
