When I was younger and just becoming interested in learning how to cook, my Mom used to make this Supreme Pork Chop Dish. It was the first one I actually remember making by myself. That is probably because it was one of my favorites to eat. So, you know, the one that I had to know. This is some serious comfort food. It fills you up, warms you from the inside out and is super simple.
Ingredients
- 6 lean pork chops, boneless
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 5 russet potatoes, sliced thin
- 1 packet french onion soup mix
- 1 can of Cream of Onion Condensed Soup
- ½ cup whole milk
- Pepper and salt to taste
How To Make Supreme Pork Chop Dish
FIRST STEP:
Heat the Olive oil in a skillet on medium high
Brown the pork chops on both sides
SECOND STEP:
Preheat the oven to 350*
Lightly spray a 9×13 baking pan
THIRD STEP:
Layer potato slices at the bottom of the pan
Place the browned pork chops on top of the potato layers
FOURTH STEP:
In a medium bowl, combine the milk, the French onion Soup mix, the cream of onion condensed soup
Stir to mix well
FIFTH STEP:
Pour this mixture over the pork chops and potatoes
Bake for 60 minutes, or until the potatoes are soft
If additional time is needed, cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for another 10 minutes.
